Just had a single doe come through ... she was eating boardside at 8 yds ... it was very tempting and I almost spilled blood, but then I remembered it was November and she would almost certainly go into the heart of the thickness behind me. Crisis averted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah, I'm in a ground blind which I hate cause of the reduce visibility. Should be able to get in stand this afternoon and all day tomorrow. Back in the blind Sunday, looks like more rain.
Just shot one with the rifle he came in to about 30 yards had my bow in my hands but to thick to get a shot he snort wheezed and started making a scrape and horned a bush then turned and went back the way he came so I grunted nothing hit the rattle bag and snort wheezed at him he was on the other ridge by then he stood over the out of sight and grunted the worked down to about a 75yd shot with the gun left all hunched up with head really low man I’m shook up never heard on snort wheeze before that was cool as hell Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

I'm having the biggest cluster F of all time this morning. I setup this morning feeling pretty good. As it gets light I feel i need to move 30 yards to get on the trail I want. So talk my self on getting down. Step down on first step and here comes a monster buck! Walks right up to 20 yards and stands there for 2 - 3 minutes. He starts getting weird and walks off. So go ahead and get down and move 30 yards. Then as I'm climbing 2nd tree another buck walks up on me from opposite direction, gets to 20 yards again! I feel like I should just go home now! This sucks! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
So far, so good...Seen a doe at about 100 yards out and now just had a shooter buck come through at about 60 nose to the ground and a steady trot. Also, on the drive in I saw 5 doe and 1 buck. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
One underrated value of hunting is focus. I'm a restless person by nature. Sometimes in the woods everything just slows down and you are in tune with the here and now. Feels good.
Just shot a slob. Watched him slow walk across the field carrying left front leg. Was hoping he would go down. Gonna wait an hour and get down to check for the arrow an blood. Think I clipped a limb a.nd caught him in left front shoulder. Not real confident right now. Think I hit the shoulder hoping I got good penetration
I was covered up this morning! Had a forkie running around like a beagle. Then a doe comes across the brush field. Keeps looking behind her. Swamp donkey Mc Toad stuffins on her tail. Looked like he had sickles for G2 and G3 but busted on one side. Cool buck but she cut in timber at 100 yds upwind so I wait till his head is down and loud grunt. He looks then looks away. Grunt loud again. Now he’s coming. I range him at 60 yds then he hears all the commotion of all the other deer in the woods. So he cuts into timber at 60 yds. Look up another doe in front. Hear grunting. NICE WIDE 8 steps out. She comes across too close for comfort. Calls her fawn out of thick and nurses her 20 yds from me. She was no dummy. Educated. She was looking all around including up.....at me. He comes to 30 yds and the doe bounds into timber. Fawn was like “ WTH mom I wasn’t done!!!” I know what she’s doing, circling downwind and behind me to investigate. He comes to 25 and I draw but he’s facing straight to me... then can you all guess what happens next !?!?!?! YES! Doe busts me. Blows all is over. HAHA! I love this game!!!!
It’s early still. Today there will be massive amounts of blood spilled throughout this forum! Get em boys! And OND
