It is nice to have that option here, still a lot of your "better than thou's" here that want it to be a one buck state.

Didn’t see anything ... public land has not been good to me this year ... not sure what’s going on.

We're limited to 2 as well, but not limited by weapon. Recently they changed regs to allow archery during the 2 main firearm seasons, as long as it is on private land and the hunter uses a firearm permit. Small gain, but you are still required to buy a firearm permit which may be why they are getting hard to get if you do not enter into the first and second lotteries.

Well that stand lived up to it's past...just before season end I hear soft movement up 200 feet to my East where the chasing was earlier. I see a large dark buck with a white rack in the thick stuff on neighbors. I bleat and he looked then continued on. He didn't care... So I decided to hold tight past legal to get out quiet and unseen. Just as I swing the rest away I hear more soft movementto my west and just on the edge of my farthest shot range with the crossbow is a short tined wide rack. Too late to shoot but I bleat to stop him for a better look. He does and looks my way. His rack is well out side his ears. I stop him again but he won't come closer for a pic. He goes right to where the other buck was to my East. They weren't grunting nor moving very fast. Just strolling along not a care in the world. I did a drag rag from the chicken coop blind to stand and hung it both deer where up wind of me never smelled them. So when I left I went down the west trail cutting that bucks trail. Got to chicken coop blind and spooked a buck in the dark. Then to house to hear chasing right behind the house.
No deer down but today was a good day in the woods!

These storms sent these deer into a mess. Tomorrow and Saturday stuff will stabilize and their horny butts will be on the move!

Really makes me wonder how many times I have been busted and not even known it. I have a bad fidget problem from having ADHD. My phone keeps me still when I'm on it. I scan every few seconds for movement. Sucks that I can't take meds for it. This is one of the reasons why I like the saddle and having a tree in front of me.
