    Nice 8 point came to 40 yards of my brother who is 15 yards from me in a tree... saw my blind and circled just out of range of him... I am officially a liability

    Woke up to a down pour... went back to bed. About to go change, load truck, coffee, breakfast, hunt. Rain is supposed to stop.

    I’ve planned a route in a bowhunting only area of the base, access is very restricted or should a say a PITA because half of the northern ridge is covered by “restricted” access area. You can’t walk down the southern ridge through the bottom unless you wanna go swimming to get to the other side.

    Satellite shows it’s thick as hell but I’m gonna skirt the fence all the way around and cut in on the point of the ridge where the hardwoods meet the pines / thicket. It’s prime crusing area and it’s surround by manmade / terrain funnel.

    Never hunted the area, but I have a good plan going off topos / imaginary ...

    All setup, but not without drama. Couldn’t sleep, hot cold sweats and a migraine. I get up thinking I’m going to puke around 2a, but pooped instead. Laid in bed until 3 and felt the gut getting ready to reject the longhorn steak I had for dinner. Chugged some water to get it out and out it all came. Felt terrible all morning but I didn’t drive 2hrs to lay in bed. My guts are settling but still have a headache, a 300” buck will fix that though.
    Let’s make the grass grow today.

    Ya know, I tried to set up with the wind in my favor yesterday morning and them little buggers 360'd me all morning without any issue. I'm saying the Scent Thief is the real deal. I hate to throw caution to the wind, but it's November and anything can happen. I'm gambling and going to go where I know the shooter is and see what happens.

    Just had a small buck at 10 yds bust me. Hunting from the ground. I was going to shoot him since I’ve never shot a deer with bow from ground. Been quite otherwise
