Here’s the plan fellas, it’s raining now, should make entry quiet in the morning. Going to hunt here at a preset area, then if slows down, I’ll move north west with wind in face into the thick stuff. Wind and wet leaves should allow me to move like a fat ninja.
What could go wrong, it’s fool proof! 3BBF4D33-2DE6-490C-AB70-FCFCFAEC8D1A.png

I have all those in spades. I think part of the problem is the neighborhoods around the place. I cannot tell you how many times I've gone to look at a roof in these 'hoods and seen the corn feeder in the backyard and how they just love seeing the deer. I was feeding year round with a protein pellet but I got tired of the feed bill for my deer.. it adds up. Honestly, I think I'm selling and looking for a new place farther away from the urban encroachment. Maybe someplace closer to the Oklahoma/Kansas Stateline.

you have a standing invite to join me on my ReDoubt. Likely somewhere a bit east of there in the Ozarks.

    Hypothetically.

    Allegedly.

Lol! I am seriously thinking about land in Missouri, getting back into Gasconade County where my hillbilly ass belongs.

Had a fun rest of the night, forgot to chime in.

Had this guy come in and give me a 30 yd chip shot while obsessed with my decoy. Might regret not taking the shot, but he is a lot spindlier than this pic shows, and I know I have better deer on the property. Plus I wasn't sure how much I should trust my sight.

At last light I had a bruiser across the field with his harem, I need a shot at that brute! Fun night, despite catastrophic equipment failures.

Haha. Yup. Been there! Actually last year when I hunted a ton and had nothing to show for. She also tells me to use a gun...nope!

Maybe LC can teach a class and give us lessons in the off-season
