I told my wife she needs to get a job back closer to my old hunting grounds and this place sucks monkey balls. She simply laughed. I need her to tell me its gonna be ok. :)

Ok, I am kinda back in business. I remember bumping it on the tailgate, so jogged back out quick. Found it in the snow next to the truck. Back in, it's on but loose. Idk, at least I marked where it should be height-wise. I'll need to get a new one though it is busted.

oh, dude. Hope you hunt close to home or at least brought a backup if you're distance hunting.
Every time I think of leaving my backup bow at home to save space something like this pops into my head and I end up tossing the extra case in the back of the truck.

Pic bothers me... Rub seems very low on the tree...but kinda missing the perspective or a point of reference.

Made it out to the farm and am in the blind. Wind is perfect and the temps are nice. Pulled the 3 day old sd card on the way in, not one single deer.. so I either need to move the location of this blind or I am going to see every deer out here tonight. But I'm betting it is not the latter.

I had no action after the merry chase until.....I'm walking home and decide to take the ridge home because it basically goes to our drive. Longer walk but not as tough on the knees. I get to pond area and kick that doe up near my blind as I did this a.m.. Well by now it's pretty dark and I grunt to avoid spooking her hard. As I'm headed toward the trail behind my garden stand. 10 ft away STOMP!!!!Right at the base of the ladder is a big flash of white, face high...he swirls and all I can see is his rack bouncing down the hill...now I'm grunting and trotting down the trail. Hoping I fooled him....lol. Seriously...base of ladder...geezzzz
I know why too. The farmer shaved ALL of his aflalfa fields.. So late! But now all those big food sources are gone 1-2 miles away as the crow fly....the doe are filing back bringing the buck with them.

How big is your land? Sorry if you have mentioned it before.

Land I hunt is about 60 acres, but aside from the fruit trees and possibly close neighbors every time you describe some aspects it reminds of similarities to where I hunt. Thinking maybe I should improvise where I am based on what you are seeing
