I agree dead deer. Question is liver or guts only. With bad storm coming in tonight cant leave him lay until morning. So at 5:30 when legal shooting light is up here. Ill take stuff back to car. Then come in with light by myself and go in slow with light on ground. Only way i will go earlier is if mist turns yo heavier rain.

Hell yea weird how he stopped, but I think that is indicative of a liver / gut shot obviously you didn’t gut shot him. I’m inclined to say he is dead or will be in the next couple hours.

Thats what im hoping. Kinda hoping 3rd deer was doe coming back this way by herself. Unless it was just another deer that heard me messing with umbrella. But it was moving when i seen it. And where it came up out of the ditch was where the buck stopped.

If pure liver shot he is already dead. No pressure on him then under 100 yds.

Another good use for that elusive tp stash... But if I'm not mistaken, I think you've cut yourself a couple times this year... A styptic pencil may be worth it

Once I get locked into killing a buck I can go weeks without drinking a beer and sleeping well. It is weird. The older I get the more the pursuit is what drives me. Had a couple beers shooting my bow and playing with my dogs. The pursuit is more important than the kill.....wait a minute who am I kidding, I am killing something.

The pursuit of one you know is out there. All you can think about is why does he go here when im here everytime. Untill boom nieghbor shoots him. Hahha jp if you get a good one in the area the pursuit is a blast.

In a tree in Missouri. 80 yards south of a pond waiting on something to come up from the valley for a drink.

Virginia’s muzzleloader/ gun season is far to long. Who wants to wear orange from 10/31-01/01?

Still no deer ... I’m shocked. 30 minutes to go.

It’s dead out here this afternoon. Haven’t seen a deer yet. Was hoping they’d be moving with the cold front coming through tonight.
