I was out of service most the weekend, knew there was going to be lots of pages to catch up on.
Thought I’d see a bunch of buck pics, but sounds like warm weather has messed with a lot of hunts.

Well, here’s a little tease for those of you with unseasonably warm weather.
First pic is of our weekend camp set up at about 10am Saturday. Second pic is this morning at 7am.

I think those are the right pics anyway...my vision still hasn’t fully returned from seeing that Bucksnbears pic a few pages back! :eek2:

My son and I had a great finish to our hunt. He used a can call and grunt to bring a spike into 35 yards and a button buck to 18. Spike wasn’t legal but I drew on the button buck since it was antlerless on this WMA it must have seen me draw or my son move because he wouldn’t clear the tree into my shooting lane. Made for exciting action. Wish I had got the shot off. It would have been from the ground with a bow while wearing orange during a youth rifle hunt in a stakeout blind.

Sister in law got it done tonight. First weekend for us ever hunting this property was a success.

Her first ever wall hanger. [IMG]

Well after my morning hunt i went to a spot in the property i kinda decided few years ago i wanted to get into but no trees good enough for a hang on. Found one climbed up in my saddle. Had two does at 35 ish in some trees. But no shots. Hoping tomorrow will get them moving with rain coming in tomorrow night. Left everything in the tree be back in the am.

Tonight was a bust. Nothing but a little spike and he looked lost.

Did any of us kill a buck on Nov 7 or 8 this year? Think about that...dozens of bowhunters from across the country hunting two of the best traditional rut days...0 buck kills.

No more deer sighted after my son saw the buck.

We got back to camp and my son in law had a big pot of beans with ham hocks coming over the campfire coals.

    We’re eating well here!

0 kills from hunters on here... granted my dad shot that buck 50 yards away on the trail heading my way... I’ll count it as half a kill lol
