If I had a place where there were even above avg deer numbers I wouldnt be sitting as much. You probably see literally 20 times the amount of deer I see each year, maybe more. Thats just the way it is.
If I have the chance to hunt on November 9th Im doing it. Ill be out in the morning for a few hrs on the shade side of a hill by bedding. This is one of those years where I have to grind out a buck.

You guys will not believe what just ran by at about 100yds. A horse! I have no idea where it came from but it was by itself and no one was riding it! Anyway, three does just came running right to me, so it must have spooked them. Craziest thing I have ever seen.

Pretty dang quiet here. Every tree rat within 100 yards sounds like a truck.

My son and I are hunting about 150 yards apart. He just had a buck walk by at 60 yards.

I sure hope he can follow up his first bow kill with his first bow buck.

Probably ruined the deer hunt but I don’t care. First kill for my middle son. About an hour of light left.

It wasn’t a Pale horse was it?

A horse would be the last thing I would expect to see in the woods.

No, it was a multi-colored horse and it was running through the woods by itself! Crazy!!

Haha I’ve had cows break out of the neighbors fence and come into the food plot. A horse would be crazy. Was it saddled up or maybe just got loose?

That’s kinda funny !! I think there was a post on fletch BS thread a little while back about a legally blind guy shooting his first deer but it was a horse.
I was hunting years ago and had 2 giant Sheep come walking through the woods to me. They were so nasty with matted up dirty wool. Turns out they had gotten out from a nearby farm and had been loose for nearly a year. After talking to the farmer he said if I see them again I was supposed to shoot them. Never saw them again

    20201108_175302.jpg Out of there.

    Mentally and physically whipped.

Saw another dozen does plus and saw this perfect little 8 soon before I left.
