The bigger buck I saw for a split second got up and scent checked her.

    He's decent, but maybe a 4x2.

Not the big 10 I was hoping for.

I wasn’t planning on hunting today. But, my middle son wanted to go out since his older brother did yesterday. He has the 22 for squirrels, I have my bow. Its warm, but Nov 8. Same spot as yesterday. More deer tracks on the walk in.

Damn this wind is ferocious. Wasn't about to try a tree stand in ,40 mph gusts. In the ground blind.

On the plus side I guess it's really blowing my estrus scent around??

A branch just hit my blind and scared the hell out of me. [IMG]

That's why I won't be hunting tomorrow. I just can't sit in 70F plus temps with the sun beating down on me all day long, especially during the rut.

I’ll be out Tuesday. The goal will be an all day sit. My season is over on the 17th. It all comes down to this week for me. Looks like the weather will be good by the end of next week.

:rant:German shepherd and a collie just ran through at 60 yards right through this bedding area. No collars that i could see and the nearest house is 1/2 mile.

Heard the dogs before we saw them, thought was a buck chasing a doe. :bigcry::rant:

Didn't make it out as planned. Spent the afternoon with my new grandson.

We were rocking away life's problems in the sunshine on the front porch.

Be back out this week making deer hunting memories!

Tuesday night before the front comes in will be my next chance.

    Good luck evening shift!

40mph winds. Sucks when you can’t get in a tree cause you fear for your safety haha. My stand is not moving. [IMG]

Overlooking this little swamp opening. Big oak ridge to the left of the pic about 75 yards. Alfalfa field just to the right about 50yds. Big trail coming from the ridge to the field. With the wind I’m not confident they will move much, but it’s worth a try.
