They might be on their feet in the day, just in a location where the cameras are not.

This is true, however this specific area his very constricted. It’s a veg edge and the terrain creates a funnel they have to walk right past me, cut down a steep embankment, or go through my yard.

40mph winds and the deer move real good this a.m.
I was in nasty thick cover.
Am in front of the cabin cleaning out my suburban. Its a mess. Radio going, air compressor running and here comes a doe being dogged by a spike right behind me.
    Shes

Been clangin n bangn 4 2 hours and I've deer within 50 yards 3 times.
And wind is crazy and its near 70*
IT November. If you can hack it, stick with it. Boredom to "balls too the walls" in seconds.

I saw him on hoof last year, but did not have a shot. He walked right past me and gave me his ass.

What are the chances he comes back through the area once you see a picture of him on his feet during the daylight?

Sorry for the delay everyone! It was a short track job, she only went about 60 yards and piled up right out of sight. Clipped the top of the close side lung and got all of the far side. I’ll upload pics tomorrow from the computer. She is almost all butchered up. Just have the hinds on ice to be cleaned up tomorrow. About to head back out to the stand. This heat makes things interesting.

Back in stand, saw 2 does and had bucks come by 15 mins after shooting light last time. Trying to stay optimistic with the heat but sure is a bummer

So my day. Planned an all day hang and hunt. Guess i hit the snooze button or never heard the alarm. 5:10 am i woke up. Crap, go to grab clothes never put them in dryer. Fml. Finally got all my stuff and decided ladder stand. Got to my parking spot. Coffee thermos leaked all over hunting bag. Fix thermos get going in right at first light. Sitting and think i hear something but wind is blowing hard. Look and buck just passed behind me now at 35 and winding me. Thats all one buck. Finally got down. Back to car ate sandwhich. Decide nature is calling. I hunt my inlaws so Sitting on throne now. Then going into an area ive been in but never hunted. Going to do like a public land. Back saddle gear to climb and stalk in with wind in my face. Only thing if i drop one one the spot ill have to quarter it. Still have standing corn. Gl pm shift.

What are my odds I wonder. I’m sitting where 3 ridges come together and between 2 bedding areas next to the last uncut crop field. I brought the horns today and did one sequence and nothing yet

Back up for the afternoon. I'm sitting in the same tree I shot mister brows from last Nov. 13th. Sure alot different today with 75 degrees and sunny. This is a known travel route to a huge doe bedding area. And the last 5 years Ive hunted this property, bucks always use this route to go check that bedding area out. I was going to save this spot for when I started seeing more rutting activity but the wind is perfect for it today.

I’m back in a tree looking for a big doe.

It felt good to relax and enjoy camp for a while.

    69* and 40 winds. Ugh!
Deer are moving though. In a tree shortly.
    Good luck fellas.
