I get it. Our boys played hockey. We had to put on "warm" clothes to go in to the rink and take them back off when we came outside. lol

This unfortunately was not me.... smoke pole hunter. The end of my street is 1,000 acres timber and 700 acres behind my house. Big bucks Cruze through my property just a matter of when... boring sits back here but a necessary evil.

All setup with my daughter. She has the gun and I have the camera. Trying to get her first deer! It’s a warm 63 degrees. Plan to make it back home before church. Good luck to everyone who is out!

In a giant oak on a finger of an oak ridge leading into some CRP off of an alfalfa field. Bedding directly in front of me.

I saw a slammer of a 10 point last night cruising. Hope he shows up.

Warm and very windy. 40 mph gusts today so I’ll only be in here this morning. Out with the muzzleloader.

    Good luck everyone

Got home from farm yesterday and decided too do yard clean up for the last time of the year. Was out mowing in shorts and t-shirt! At 3:30 as I was finishing up around the big pond and saw something big black and white floating along the bank! Went to the shed to retrieve a pole to get it with and on my way back saw an eagle flying over head .. had a terrible thought cross my mind.

Long story short.. buried a young eagle on the hill above the pond!

It touched me in a way I couldn't imagine..so symbolic.. so on track for 2020!

Gonna run some errands this morning and get things squared away with the home coming of the new grand son. Be back after it this evening.

Got to my stand and the 10pt I've been after was bedded about 60 yards from me. Got up jumped a fence and off he went.

Doesn't feel like November. Already heard a doe blowing at about 100 yards and not at me. Hopefully whatever shenanigans are going on they bring it my way. Good luck erbody.
