Back up!! Let’s keep this party going!! I have a feeling those bucks I saw this morning were pushing the does to a bedding area about 300 yards away. Let’s hope they push them back. I feel like if I see a buck there will be a doe with him that I can kill. Plus I would just love to watch em run around even if I can’t shoot.

I had a hot doe at my main property on the 4th and 5th. 5 bucks out chasing and I only know one of them.

My Blind was in the perfect spot...until the wind storm!

All set up and finally cooled off after my walk in. About 70 degrees here, little sweaty but ready to go.

Leave house at 0300. 0430...hit my spot early for an all day sit. Nope guy headed in that direction. Head a mile away to my 2nd location. Nope guy in that location. Head to my 3rd spot. On stand 20 min and the deer Gods gift wrapped a 3.5 yr old buck for me. At 1st light he exits thick stuff and there was 0 wind and he was at 10 yds. Totally relaxed. I pulled a rookie mistake and grabbed my bow from 20 ft. Should have let him walk past. He catches movement and trots off. Leave at 11 or so bc the wind does a 120...drive to the other side of the thicket...another truck and hunter. Go back to my original area hoping I can slip back to my best spot. Nope ladder man is still hunting. Not happy but Ill give him credit, he is hunting all day. Now I know he hunts weekends primarily. Noted. Picked a general location about a half mile from him hoping to catch the big buck I missed out her on Halloween. Walked an hr...in the heat with leaves cracking. Loud as heck. Circled back to the best sign I found. An old two track between 2 old homesteads on top of a drainage. Some avg sign. Life in the pressured big woods.

    Im in the game.

    Beer tonight and family tomorrow.

    Lets go PM shift!
