Only during November do you look at the clock, see 7:20, and think, damn, didn't realize it was so late

Its a timing thing...ingest 1 hr before hunting and you can reasonably expect a number 2 before the woods which is always a nice thing to get out of the way or risk crapping out of a saddle. Under 30 min and one can expect to be in for full strip down mode in the middle of the woods.

One tine is broken off the left side Josh’s buck that wasn’t broken when he shot it.

After the shot it ran through a downed tree and collided with a big limb. We could see the intact tine in the Tactacam footage.

We tried to find it but had no luck. Josh is going to go back tomorrow and look for it but it’ll be like looking for the proverbial needle in a haystack.

That joker had a 21” inside spread.

That was my first thought. Heck of a spread on him, wide is always impressive looking.

Kidding. I either drink an energy drink or make a cup of coffee in the mornings. I usually want to get to the stand ASAP in the morning so I will throw 5 ice cubes in my cup of coffee so I can actually drink 3-4 cups in my big mug without it burning the poop out of my mouth. Works great.

I like the idea, but have to ask....

Why do you have poop in your mouth and why would you want to keep it?

    Sorry, had to

Lastoneout, Arrowflinger, LC"s Son in Law congrats on some great Bucks! I was out this afternoon but no service. Tried a ground sit today but nothing seen. I did see a Buck chasing on the ride over to my spot. Probably going to try sitting in the woods behind rhe house tomorrow. That 10pt is roaming around some place.

Always remember you still have a standing invitation to come here. So do @Tony and @Swamp Stalker but they never show up.

This has been a great season already and the rut is just firing up.

My son got his first bow kill this morning with a button buck, but he also had an encounter with a huge 8 point yesterday evening. He shot but hit a limb and the arrow deflected resulting in a clean miss.

My son in law saw a "massive 8 point" (his words) the day before yesterday that he believes would have scored close to 150", so 5 minutes later he passed on a 9 point that he guessed at 135". Those two bucks met up and he got cell phone video of them fighting.

This morning I was walking to my stand in an old cut-over so I was looking down at the ground so as not to trip on downed limbs. I got to about 10 yards from my stand and I heard a buck blow right in front of me. It scared the crap out of me. My head snapped up and my light caught antlers and deer butt bouncing away. That big boy was standing right at my stand 30 minutes before first light. Guess I should have gotten out earlier.

The show has started here in SE Missouri. I'm the only one in camp that hasn't had a shot opportunity yet.
