    Anyone else ever have the issue of mud/dried mud falling off of your boots onto dry leaves from up in the stand? It’s so loud and I could 100% see it ruining a shot at a deer.

    I’m out. Didn’t see a single deer. In fact, you wouldn’t even know the rut is on in my woods!
    I did watch a fox bed down, which was cool.

    Best 2 beverages for warmth while hunting. Thermos full of tomato soup or bone broth. Both have saved my life hunting ducks in subzero weather in January.

    Saw nothing....I really have not been out much, so there hasn't been pressure this is by far my worst season and I have no idea where they've gone...I'm getting down here.

    Ended up seeing around 17 does and a spike today!! Absolutely awesome sit, spike was grunting up a storm chasing about 5 does around, wishing I would have shot one... came by at 10 yards and they were gigantic, and I had them on film to do it... oh well, I’ll get one after the rut!

    Time for me to switch gears and actually move my set. I’ve been there too long. I’ll post pictures of the deer I’ve got on the north side of the property. A TON of scrub bucks with 3-4 new shooters.

    Got my civic duties done, grabbed some Gatorade and snacks and got the truck packed.

    Going to give it my best effort in the morning. Bit uncertain how my body is going to react to things but only one way to find out.

    Alarms set for 3am and a few every 6 - 8 minutes after for good measure. trying to fall asleep is another thing :lol:
