Got the gear smoked and packed for my hunt tomorrow. I still feel like a damn sherpa. There's gotta be something I can do to loosen this load a bit, LOL

Tempted to haul the modded summit platform in and leave it in some laurel somewhere tomorrow.

    That's funny!
Yep, carrying any kind of weight long distance gets to you after a while. I try to keep it simple on my 63 year old bones!

I used to take and hide a waterproof box and lock it to a tree to leave my stuff in. I covered it in brush to hide it.

I probably should have looked at the forecast before my statement. 25mph sustained winds, with gusts to 40 mph....ughh

I have to get my head back in the game. Daylight savings is really messing up my ability to hunt during the week and I can't afford to take any days off. I guess I was just spoiled before this. I will try to sneak out a few afternoons this week. Gun season opens this weekend.

    Good luck PM shift!

Well I am out, saw nothing again. The damn deer are there, I have pictures to prove it, we are just not connecting yet. The worst part is that I can’t get where I want because of the damn wind direction

Bumped a 2.5 yo buck off his bed walking in. Back in the woods off a WW field. To much wind for the decoy tonight.
    Good luck guys!

Congrats Slugger! You guys are on fire. I need to get back out there. Been almost a month since my last sit (9 Oct when I killed my 8 point buck). I took vacation from 9-11 Nov to hunt. Cant wait! Keep up the entertainment y'all! I am stuck at work...

Bruh, do yourself a favor and buy a mini platform. I am using a Solo Scout from OOAL. It is super light and easy to pack. Only costs $80. I am in the same boat as you in regards to being in the market next year for some new camo clothing to help streamline my gear. When it gets cold, I look like the Michelin Man all layered up. LOL Not sure if I am going Sitka or SKRE or what?? Probably gonna just drop a chuck of money on a full bundle/kit and be done with it. I want it all to match. Buy once, cry once. Any other good options out there???

I was tucked up out of the wind this morning and was covered up with deer. That being said I’m getting my a$$ beat this afternoon. Hopefully they move out to feed.
