Well I have decided I’ll be sitting about 30 yards off the corn field this evening, there was a really good path there on my walk in this morning directly behind my cell cam lol

Got some black eagles from south shore archery. They glued one of the inserts down to far and can't even screw in a tip. Shot them an email. What a bummer. 20200909_190346.jpeg

If you have an electric range on the stove top, set the heat to medium-high and prop up the arrow tip so that it is a couple of inches above the burner. Let it sit for a couple of minutes then pull out the insert with a pair of pliers. I do this with my BE Renegades. The heat will break up the glue. Just make sure the arrow has plenty of time to cool off before gluing the insert back in. Also, clean the insert and inside of the arrow with acetone to remove any residual glue.

This other property we are heading to now, we have to add some bolts to a ladder stand so we’ll do that then probably be up in by 2-3, if the camera pulls aren’t any good for the evening we’ll probably go back to the property we hunted this morning

Heading to elk camp late this afternoon. Hunting partner is already there, said this morning he got a puny bugle from the same spot we were getting into them last year. He walked it up in the morning and said it is tore up with sign and beds. This area also has a wallow that we found last year, it is the first thing I'll check for my new climber location.
Just heard of a new forest fire that is only about 8 miles east of my camp. Will be watching the wind direction closely, but partner says it is going the other way, there isn't too much smoke in the air around our area. This is the biggest threat to our season right now.
Tomorrow morning I'll be taking my bow for a walk in the elk woods. One of the few things that still makes me feel like a kid on Christmas morning.
