    I saw him cutting through the middle of the bedding area. Good mature buck with huge beams and mass, smaller tines, and an easy 20 plus inch spread. He exits the bedding area then hits the fringe cover and made a rub for a couple mins. Coming right at me upwind for an easy shot. Nope he turns right.

    27 yds or so. Told myself to hold a bit high but I didn't when I stopped him. Mind reverted and held low heart then dropped bow arm. All adds up to 1 inch below body.
    Good 20 inch plus spread. Real beauty

    ...not happy but at least I was in the game.

    Gonna stick it out til dark. Didnt feel connected to my bow if any of you can relate to what I'm saying. My stress circle was wide and I didn't bring it back together and it cost me

    Exactly how I felt when I missed opening weekend. Couldn't find my anchor and was fighting the bow. Didn't realize it until afterwards sitting in the camper just what went wrong- had my buff pulled upover my nose and couldn't get the feel right.

    I just watched a cottonseed go right past my ear towards and then right over that scrape, then make a 90* turn left back up the trail past another scrape.

    I'll take that as a sign I'm probably pretty much effed today.
