Can’t make this stuff up.. thought it was the buck coming back with twigs snapping...two lost hikers. Young couple 20s. Looked panicked to death. Not dressed for the occasion at all. I told them how to get back to the trail the easiest way...follow the ridge line. Dammit

Congrats on the kills so far! I’m back in the stand. A little later than I would have liked, one of the dogs took off through the corn field after a doe. Wind picked up quite a bit here, hopefully a mid afternoon cruise is in the bucks plans today. Does and any of the good bucks are on the menu tonight. Time to put some meat in the freezer!

All finished with my grandson's JROTC meet so I'm heading in for an afternoon sit. There's been a few nice ones go down in my area in the last couple days so I'm hoping it's beginning to crank up. Tomorrow is supposed to be 40mph wind so hopefully they're moving tonight. Good luck all.

Walked a good 5 miles today. Bumped a doe and smallish buck and found the best sign less than a mile in so I circled back to and ended up back at that area.

Wind was supposed to be steady out of the south at 10 but its been swirling and gusting every which damn way but that so I said hell with it and set up 15 yards north of this bad boy made fresh this morning. Freshened it up a bit with recycled Budweiser and climbed up the nearest straight tree.

No bruh today, knees are killing me and standing on sticks while hanging a platform didn't appeal

Back at the house and trying to hatch a plan of attack for this evening. I THINK what I'm about to do will work. Problem is there is one piece of possible bedding up hill and directly down wind, so im screwed if that's where they bed. Otherwise I have a good shot if they come by there.

Congrats to all the killers again. I think i missed Mike, so congrats MFC.

    And one more thing...Kill!

Back in. Nothing exciting this morning. One brief glimpse of a deer but that’s it. Good luck out there.

Well I've had a pretty good day so far. Rattled one this morning and then a 1225 and 1240 I seen 2 different bucks. The one I wanted close enough. Was at 45 yards. The other was at 24. He was to small but legal. I had a bird try and land on my boot. Freaked me out for a second. It too. Then a purple balloon fell to the ground about 55 yards away from me 16041701177275555558057119733339.jpg
All in all a great day without killing anything.

I did have to leave and go home to take care of the animals. 1 20 minutes that's all
