Little 4 point dogging a doe and she was blowing her fool head off, running in circles. Pretty comical.

With a full moon and a clear night, if I was hunting today, I would be focused on the 11 am - 3pm time frame near bedding. I called a buck being shot by 2:30pm yesterday and @Holt got his chance at 2pm. Who is going to be today? Probably the guy who brought lunch to the stand with him.

I'm in for the pain today. My wind is perfect and by bedding. I came prepared to be here all day. If I dont see anything all day I'm drinking tonight. If I kill one I'm also drinking.

That outfit you are wearing, does that have the wind proof liner. If it does, I totally understand why you won't wear it walking in, great to sit in but you will sweat like wearing a garbage bag waking. I wear mine for sits in VT in December.

I’m not here for does! 100” buck or better. I’m in it for the long haul, all day. I like Brett’s approach, gonna drink tonight either way!

I'm out. I have to go install a chimney liner. Good luck all. No hunting for me tonight. Trick or Treating with the kids.

Be careful doing that! I had a friend who was in the basement of a house and they were feeding him the liner from up on the roof, when somehow the liner must have contacted the hot lines feeding the house. My buddy was electrocuted.

Well that was cool. I was walking to switch stands and heard something coming through the thicket. I stood there and a small 8 came out right in front of me. Easily within 10 yards. Didn’t notice me and Walked right by me up toward bedding. Luckily it wasn’t a shooter because I didn’t have an arrow knocked. IMG_4712.JPG

What a difference from last year, this day last year I saw 18 different deer. Today nothing yet. Big difference in the weather, oaks are in a off year as far as producing a lot of acorns. I think the biggest deal was all the snow and cold switched them to winter mode here.
