Well I got both ground blinds set this morning. Heading over at 3 pm to set in one that is 15 yards from this scrape.

The other blind sits in a little brush patch that the deer always seem to walk by.

I'm finished with work and I think I'm going back in to my stand. Maybe catch some mid day movers.

I’d say hunt it. If you think it’s a good rut spot get in there. Now is the time.

My favorite. Zebra cakes are probably second, but it's so hard to choose.

Dangit! Snuck back in and get to the clearing, ease out, checking left and right for deer and the coast is clear. Go left toward my stand, still creeping and 2 deer that were standing on the lower edge (basically in front of me. I'm an idiot) blow and bust out. 40 yards from my tree and I'm fail certainly that the buck is the one i shot 2 weeks ago. Looked just like him or there is another big 8 in here. Interesting he was with a doe.

I'm up. Came in to check sign that pops up in the same spot by the same buck every year. It's not here yet. So either I beat him to the spot this year or he died. I hunted it last year on November 1 and he beat me here by about 12 hours. So I'm sitting here this evening and tomorrow morning if need be. There are deer tracks every where and a fresh scrape line heading right past me. Think something might happen this evening. I jumped 2 fawns on the walk in. Does and big bucks are on the menu tonight!

Good luck guys! It's near perfect conditions tonight

You got to hunt! I wouldn't worry about other hunters, but think of the fresh sign you will see in the snow! It's instant confirmation of deer and travel patterns.
