Good wind and stading beans with light drizzle and a touch of snow. Man this is unreal. Now I just need hungry deer. Preferably a dumb, tender one. 20201027_164454.jpeg

Bad enough that my seat "pad" is thin as the prospect I'll ever agree with my e x wife on anything, but it's wet now. So now I'm sitting on the frame. Lol. Better than nothing.

I don't use a seat pad - just one more thing to carry and carry scent. The older I get the more I stand, probably 75% of the time.

    1 button buck.

    Bout to get down.

Just coming out after a nice pleasant hunt. My head needed that!
Ended up seeing an 8pt and a big doe! I’ll have a bit more detail when I get home.

Just watched the THP bump and dump episode and immediately regret not hunting tonight. What an incredible episode.

Here’s the stock seat. It’s comfy and well designed, but I bet this sucker weighs 4-5 pounds

The doe that I mentioned earlier was bigger than the buck I saw, and the buck was decent size. I saw them 10mins apart. They were both out about 65yrds in the same opening. She caught me turning my head to scan the exact area where she was standing. She knew she saw something move, but I kept still long enough for her to discount it as nothing, and she moved on. Then about 10 mins later I again turn to check that area, and sure enough there she stands, again!! lol This time she knew for certain what she saw. lol At least she didn't blow when she departed.

Nothing for me, I got down early and did a little walk. Found a bed about 30 yards from my parking spot, two huge scrapes and a over productive acorn tree. There was a deer under the acorn tree but I couldn’t get close enough for a shot; no wind, crunchy leave don’t help.
    I’ll be out Friday.

Takes 5 minutes, no more of the knot tying thing, just zip ties included. I tried it in the backyard, feels pretty comfy

Posted in my team thread, and I'll add for here.

Gonna have to buy some cheese for all this whine about to start up

    "
My rutcation was officially approved today, no turning back now. I'll have this weekend, Fri- Sun off, then work Mon and Tue then 12 straight days off in what I think will be the prime of the rut here. Waning moon headed into the New..... Going to try and convince my brother to buy a chest freezer in the next week or so, may need a place to store some non venison typed meats

    Hoping the weather cooperates. "
