Nothing but a lone button buck this morning. Really puzzling. Sent from my SM-N950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Perfect. The COO informed me she had a pickleball game scheduled Sat morning, so I was planning this approach.
Could be colder... Maybe I should hunt the mountains. It may be both deer and bear season... But I'll take it. Wish I could be out there Thurs pm straight through to Sat.
Getting ready to head out for an afternoon sit. I'm bringing the deer cart to the halfway point between me and my dad, then going deep. I'm gonna scout my way in.
Currently feels like 11 degrees here in central MN. Won't get much warmer with the winds projected all day. Going to be tough to get my butt in a tree this afternoon.
Bringing the cart...means one of two things, you won't kill OR a wheel breaks when using it. I pray it's the latter Good luck bud!
LOL Thanks Ty! I'm mainly bringing it so it is there for future use. I'll stash it in the mountain laurel.
I get the CEO title... But as a pastor once told me, "The man may be the head of the family, but the wife is the neck. Whichever way the neck turns, the head follows." Though, since Sat is also opener for muzzleloader and the moon phase...and she has plans. It all seems to be synergistic.
Finally set up. I talked to a guy at the parking area I hadn’t seen in years! On my way in I flushed a lone deer about 70yrds from my tree. Whatever it was, it was a big. I caught the ass end. Good luck PMers! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
All setup. Found a spot with some fresh scrapes on a hilltop. Guess we’ll see what happens! Good luck to everyone who is out!
Good luck Swampy. I'm debating on whether to go? Strong south wind and 22* out. I've got 2 stands i can go to but ill be taking the brunt of the winds. Or perhaps drink some beers? Decisions, decisions
Hey I’m trying to decide that exact thing, in those exact conditions haha. My stand is facing directly to the south. Trying to get the courage to go sit in 25 degrees with 15-20mph winds blowing directly in my face all night. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So far just an extremely rare hunter. The lost sort, who walks through looking around, then turns and walks back the way he came. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Things don't always work out...loss of income, home, and retirement $ happens (often with divorce) . Or as another friend said about divorce, you might as well pile all your money in the front yard and set it afire... Pretty much the same.
