Ended up seeing 7 does at the opposite end of the field near my blind. Wind wasn't perfect. The chase continues.

My guess is he is trying to beat the Day 3 forecasted rains as much as he can before it puts them out a few days

What's up with bucks in 1 and 3? Thought it was the same buck, but the one in 1 has a normal right side. both are wearing the left side upside down/backwards and the one in 3 is funky on both sides.

Number 5 looks like a shoulder mount aside from the eyes

If I didn't watch that, I wouldn't think it could be possible! Unreal.
I would love to know what caused that mess.

I would guess he survived being hit by a piece of farm equipment or maybe a snow plow and the snow melted by the time the video was captured.

Seen that last night and a coworker mentioned it today but only seen a still image. Showed him the video. He said that they were thinking it might have been hit by a combine, but I have heard no discussion on it myself or any info on where it came from.

It is crazy for certain, but my guess is that cam caught him fairly early after it happened. He's not limping, doubt he is rut crazed already. My guess would be the effects of it had not begun to set in at that time and it happened very close by. Same reason I do not believe it to be a deer/vehicle collision or a missed shot.

I do not farm, but many here do. Could a combine do something like that without the normal combine/deer graphics you normally see with the deer caught between the cutters and dead?

Heli-m. Bought it used a couple years ago for $500, looked brand new when I got it.

I wonder if it wasn't a hit by a vehicle/truck and just happened to hit its backside along a sharp bumper or edge of something?? Guess we'll never know but it's horrible for sure. Looks like a pretty young buck with some great potential too.

I watchednitb20 times today. Any chance this is a real video? Awfully clean cut. His shoulder blade does exactly what I would imagine. Any chance computer generated?
