Just had a doe walk through, no buck in tow. Can’t hear them at all with the snow on the ground. I miss the sound of leaves crunching

I had the same problem on Saturday. I did have a ton of movement and chasing going on as well (central MN).

    2.5 mayyyybe 3.5.
Short nose like a 2.5 but his waist isn't quite as narrow as a lot of 2.5 year olds.

    * EDIT - going to lean 3.5 after zooming in on that pic of him in the gray light. His belly pretty much in line with his chest. If that's a 2.5 with that size he would be an absolute giant in 2 years.

Didn’t even know that they made heated pants lol. I am wearing my heated vest but haven’t had to turn it on yet.

Saturday is the day I will kill a beast! As long as there is a West or northwest wind. High pressure after a storm system, Going to do an afternoon hunt tomorrow, I’m going to bring my deer cart down to the halfway point. Halfway between me and my dads hunting spot. Relocated. Wind isn't as bad as earlier. Never hunted this spot but love the looks of it and there's some decent sign.

Yeah, the sizing is confusing as hell. I'm a chubby size 42 on a good day, so I went with XXL because the reviews said they run very small. I'll let you know this afternoon when I get them.

I had the Arctic shield bodysuit last year. It worked well, I just didn't like being that bundled. Plus with walking the distance I'll be walking the rest of the season, I'm trying to cut down on weight and bulk, by compensating with heated layers.

Last year's rut was one of the coldest in recent memory. single digit lows with 10-15 mph winds, wind chills 15-20 below zero.

Why suffer when you don't have to?

Got the call from the farmer that he is cutting corn down by the river this afternoon. It's suppose to be raining for the next 3 days.

Kinda baffled he decided to do it today as it is raining and more is forecast to come.

I need to be there tonight, but just no way it can happen!

Once the corn comes down it's gonna be crazy! They got no more place to hide from me!

I’m out, nothing else. I did pass a open scrape on my way out. Pulled the chip and will see what worked it.
