I looked at the camera chips after my trip to clean the snow off my stands. The bucks have started messing with the does, the bigger ones have moved back in and are very close to moving in daylight. I also got a picture of a doe with a arrow stuck in her ass, if given the chance I will burn a tag on her.

    That is sad to see.

I've got 3 little bucks feeding in front of me. Someone mentioned they had never seen a deer pull a cob off. I watched 2 of these boys do it. I wish they would work away...bout to get down.

It is, and it frustrates me. I know they weren’t trying to do it. Hopefully I can take it out

Didn’t see anything but a few turkeys on my way out today. Had to leave early to go help my grandparents around their house. Tried to put a stalk on those turkeys.... let’s just say it didn’t go well.

That was fun. Had the small 8 chasing 4 does off to my left, he chased them around the field for a while then came right at me. Had a nice doe broadside at 45 yds. If I only I had taken possession of this ground yet. Next week!

A different 8 came through after with another doe running. Starting to heat up here.

i managed to get my stand hung where ive been seeing that big buck. my buddy even did a little brush hogging in some strategic spots to help out. here's the bad news. i have a stand on some other property near there and the farmer is kicking everyone off. so looks like tomorrow i'm going to head in and get my stand out. amazing what big bucks do to people. there isn't one person in that area that knows enough to shoot any of those giants. all i can do is hope they venture across a couple fields to the spot on my buddy's property where i can hunt. i bet i've lost about 1,000 acres of private property in the last two or three years to landowners posting it up. loss of property to hunt is what's killing hunting. i think people still want to hunt but get sick of the frustration of losing hunting area and having to start all over looking for new ground. luckily i still have some tricks up my sleeve but every year the guys are getting closer. one day we will look like the midwest all posted and leased. seems like there are giant bucks in every wood lot here now. only a matter of time.

Damn. Just missed a nice buck. Rushed the shot, shot right underneath him, settled on the wrong pin. Still shaking. Only good thing is after he darted about 40 yds he causally strolled off, still a ways out in the field.

    Can't believe I did that

    Yes.

Midwesterners truly do believe it is the best pizza on earth. I think anyone who tried it for the first time wouldn’t think the same. I’ve just grown up eating it my whole life haha.
