Just got settled in. First time I've hunted this spot this year. Going to pull some cameras on the way out see if it's worth coming back to. There are 2 new tree stands up on my way to my stand. Not sure who it is. The landowner is very generous on letting people hunt here. I usually hunt on the other end of the property where I don't see anyone. Have a bunch of bedding to my right and small strip fields to my left. Very little wind and extra crunchy. Good luck.

I went to the swamp stand because pic neighbor texted me had it looking bad...well just surface rust there was also a big branch blocking path in, as it is. So I climbed up and sat for a look. Forgot what a pain reattaching foot platform is. But not much noise doing it. Well HOLY HANNA! The stand was absolutely surrounded by fresh beds. Big ones off alone and big and small in clustered areas. Trails all over. Maybe he pushed bedding up the hill to stand
Only issue is getting there. Without trails cleaned its a difficult trip down hill even with a light. It really is a get there an hour early to mid day. stand. Afternoon hunts are a no go for many reasons I will be in there with a grunt call and doe bleat beginning Nov.. Tomorrow is up in air on where I'll be. I walked from bottom of our section of hill up the road to our house. Seriously steep and over a half mile. Calves are screaming at me!!!!...lol

I'm on the NW corner of a wood peninsula surrounded by chopped and standing corn. Thursday I was in the NE corner and saw good activity, but this freakin NE wind is keeping me out of my best stands. I'll take every shot I can on a doe on this property.

    Time to kill.

Doe wander off further into the thick stuff after it browsed for a bit. She was on the smaller side so she would have got a pass if there was an opportunity

Had to bail outta that stand.
Wind was not what I thought it would be (iffy)

In a stand now bout 80 yards away. Good wind here.
20201025_161018.jpg Did not expect a deer freeway 1 yards from the base of my stand though
    Could be interesting?
    Good luck all.

Ended up not making it out tonight. Felt lazy and decided to make it to the family’s dinner (Casey’s Pizza). Never like to pass up Casey’s pizza.

    Good luck PM shift.
