I told myself I’m going to move my stand today... But after last nights hunt I might just stick where it’s at for now. There were deer everywhere and the bucks were chasing in there big time. The corn just cut had the deer piling into the field next to me.

Going to stay there for the time being I think.

    What the freak?
Normally guys think they made a good shot and can't find the deer.

BUT YOU...you think you whiff and made a great shot. Heck of a buck. Great story.

    Here’s my afternoon hunt

Talked to my buddy Adam and tony and decided to do some early day scouting for where the deer are( not at my stand) got some advice on a farm I was thinking about going but switch to this one becuse the wind would be better. Got here and checked a field I’d recently seen does in and boom found some very fresh tracks on a mature buck. Followed them and it went right into bedding. I’m posted up on the outside I. The thicket edge perfectly tucked about 3 feet back in on the ground with the compound. Switched the broadhead to a fixed blade and if I drop a deer tonight it thanks to so good advice Image1603652654.056288.jpg purple is where I seen doe the other night
Yellow are the very large buck tracks red is wind
    LETS HUNT!!

Live from the hunting property. After Saturday’s hunt and having to walk through 10-12 inches of snow I decided take the 4 wheeler and go check all my cameras for activity, as a bonus I go to clean off the ice and snow off my stands which was a big problem on Saturday. And now have some paths to walk on instead of trudging through that much snow. Hopefully it didn’t screw-in up to bad, deer should be happy also to have easier walking lol.
    Good luck pm shift!

Well I looked again for 2 more hours and turned up nothing. Went to last blood and circled again but still found no positive direction from there. He was really zigzagging through a 15 yard wide strip of thick brush in creek bank fo the last 50 yards. No way he crossed creek at last blood sheer rocks on other side for 50 yards or so. Just don’t know. Hopefully he survives. He deserves better than that.
