Yeah I got a late start this year with the newborn and new job role. Still haven’t made it to the family farm to check things out because it’s 2 hrs away. I’m hoping I have the upper hand on him this year. I’ve got several photos of him during daylight always coming from same trail. Got another camera set about 100 yards other direction that he’s never crossed. But I did catch this on that camera

25 days and I might start whining

I have a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation this year. Production coordinator at work has pretty much said overtime the rest of the year is pretty much out of the equation, which opens up every Fri, Sat and Sun this year.

I'm going to have a buffet of days I can hunt this year, but the cost of the buffet is the damning that is in play.

It's all going to unfold here, and my rutcation will not change regardless. I'm officially ready to get out there, but still have a ways to go before it happens.

Do you guys think COVID is going to push more people in the woods this year?

    Personally, I doubt it.

I would elaborate on my opinion but I won't because this is the Live from the Stand thread and politics has no place here.

I’d guess to start it might but the people who didn’t really care for it to start with probably won’t last long if I had to bet.

My response as well, I'll have plenty of opportunities to hunt this year and will discuss them here.

Reasons as to why will be sporadically placed among several other threads on the forum

Not that bad lol, kinda the opposite actually, hit the mustache first and yeah, have the Amish look going on now. Goatee is always lengthy and usually just let rest of beard go. Had to take goatee down because rest of beard was closer to new mustache length

Somehow I missed this. I was kinda busy at the time.

As my son in law would say in his Alabama accent: "Gawd-ah-mighty".

I'd give real money for that shot opportunity.

Did I misread this? 25 days or 25 minutes? You can't make it 25 days before you start whining......:poke:

I had mine all ready to go and my wife didn’t like it:confused:. I don’t understand why people associate huge mustache with pedophiles. Had a respirator fit test so I had to let it go. FA064AB3-F4E4-4A26-A4FC-6D3AFB419A00.jpeg

If it means anything the piebald and giant are both on public. So those that think you can’t find big deer on public are wrong. There’s a couple other nice ones too. [IMG]

I'm starting to get stoked too!
This Friday I head to the elk woods for a week. It is super dry and still getting pretty warm during the day, really need some rain. These kinds of years are usually tough hunting. We'll see.
There are a couple of spots up high that I can get service, going to try to give some "live from the elk woods" updates.
Got all my camo washed up last night. Going to go check if the local North40 has any climbers in stock, I'm thinking wallows might be good to sit on this year.
