I had 99% of my full range of motion is why they didn't have me do therapy. Some stretchy bands at home was all I was given to do.

I have sat back and watched all the young bulls sprint up the hill to the herd, this old bull is walking today.

I finally saw something on stand! I ended up having to go do an emergency locate, so I figured I was already set up so sit til 7:30. I sat there for 2 hours without a peep. I lower my pack and bow at 7:35, unhook my safety harness, and my tree strap and hear steps. A minute after I let my bow down, a line of 6 or 7 does come by at 20 yards! I just stood there kind of hugging the tree, because I didn’t want to get busted. I was about to step down to the first stick when I heard them. I let them be, and finally got down without getting busted. I moved to this placement last year due to seeing this same situation play out. Hope they follow a routine tomorrow!

Haven’t seen anything in a while but a hawk that swooped in and landed on a branch 20 yards or so away.

I’m going to give it at least another half hour before I get down to go to the other spot.

Pouring rain her in VT today, soooo I won't be out. Good luck everyone this evening. Tomorrow morning will be 37 and the rain is supposed to let up by 0800. I'll probably go out at 0700, get a little wet and see if the deer get on their feet as the rain is letting up. Soccer practice tomorrow afternoon, I may get out the last 1.5hrs.

Just had a single doe walk in to 35 yards. I almost took the shot but she looked like a little one and I don’t want to shoot another fawn.

Sure was a pretty shot though.

Well for crying out loud ,had to go fix two stands again. And had the top of my deer hanging tree blow down. Every year with these winds.. Now behind, just eating lunch . Frost hitting tonight and still squezzing produce out of garden . So need to go pick peppers ,beets , tomatoes, eggplant, cabbage and cover hot peppers. Dang if they still producing peppers. Not sure I'll get out as hoped tonight ,plus rain started again.
    Good luck guys

The fox showed up again. Got a little adrenaline jolt out of the sudden movement, so that’s a plus.

I should have climbed down earlier. I was half way down and a doe walked in and bedded 50 yards away.

No way do I get the rest of the way down without her seeing me.

If I had the muzzleloader I’d put her to sleep. I almost have a bow shot but she’s quartering to me. Besides, there are two tiny twigs about in the path I think the arrow would take. IMG_1457.jpg

I guess I’ll try to get the one grunt call I have with me out and see if I can coax it into getting up and moving.

Nope. Well, it’s just one doe. Guess she’ll get to see where I am. I don’t want to stay here the rest of the day.

D11ACF00-25AE-48AE-89C8-A2517B92D51E.png Good luck everyone. I’m set up next to a corn field, down wind of a really fresh scrape and stomach high rubs, just past a saddle, in oaks. Probably only night time stuff but I put a cam on the scrape to see what’s going on

I almost got her. Got to the ground and out of my stand behind some leaves.

Took my pack off, nocked an arrow and got to 32 yards. I needed lean out from behind the tree so I drew and leaned. I never even got to get the pin in the peep. She bolted.

    That was exciting.
