Yep, with todays best/latest technology we are less able to predict the weather accurately, because our weather is much more erratic/intense than it's ever been. jmo

So walked a half mile to old reliable stand. Been avoiding this area absolutely nothing and no sounds of anything. That is a first!. This is above the neighbors swampy bedding area. The most he usually does is cut firewood there. He's in his 80's. I get down at 9 and walk the laneway that borders him out. What do I find? His front end loader/ backhoe across from my fence gate. An opening I put along fence I open during bow season and after first week of gun. It's just inside his wood line and behind it are several piles of muck and shale the size of my kitchen/dinning room. So this fall he's been in tearing up the best bedding we've had along side of us for over 20 years.
Well THAT explains a lot. Driving by you could ALWAYS see deer in the laneway morning and evening...No ones seen anything there in over a month.
Kicked two fawn out of garden on the way home and hubby watched 8 big doe feed past the house at 7...lol
Told you guys ...used up all my luck on that skunk encounter plus jinxed myself entering a contest...lol

I got my wedding anniversary next week then my birthday in the last week of October. It's always nice because it's a great excuse to take off work and hunt all day!
