    I did see which way it ran at the beginning. Then went out of sight. The dog is looking now. Been about 15 min.

    I did see it hit. Was mid height and tucked behind the shoulder blade. If I had to guess, it seemed like a perfect shot. Just confused why no blood.

    I wonder if it deflected offside low then and something is plugging the lower exit wound. Sounds like a dead deer from your shot description.

    That's crazy, if what you seen is what happened has to be a dead deer. No clue on the blood thing, never heard of a shot so tight on the shoulder hide was able to cover up a double lung. Was it a complete pass through and arrow stuck in the ground or did you find arrow during the initial track?

    Pass through and blood on the arrow has to be blood on the ground somewhere

    Looks like it was a fairly low exit, not sure still on the lack of blood, maybe quartered to/away a bit more than thought and steeper angle?

    You got him so that's what matters. Good to see one of these go to the hunter
