You can only beat him there if you know he is bedded there now. If me, I would still hunt/scout.

Your best bet if he is there is to bump him off his bed. But got to do it with out him seeing you or smelling you. Need to bump with sound. It's very tricky to do. But if you can achieve that, your next morning hunt should be golden to setup on the bed. That is a true bump and dump hunt. But also with the time of the year, he could be on the move.

I’m taking my 13, 10, 9 and 4 y/o. It will be interesting to say the least, lol wife might come to help. Supposed to be a little warm which will help with the kids not getting cold. Definitely will have hot chocolate abs donuts. Good luck to you

Thank you. My dad took myself and my kids waterfowl hunting. Did duck opener with younger kids since it’s warmer out.

Sounds like with the wind to cover noise a stalk would be in order

Buck is on ice, I hate processing deer...in the dark. Haven’t scored him, but he has nine points, there is a curled 3-4” spike that goes around the back side. He looked a lot bigger at 25 yards, and I almost talked myself out of shooting him, but, I thought he was cool and I want his rack on my deck/grilling area.
Arrow went in about 3” below the back strap, hung up in chest cavity but did puncture the hide on the other side. Both lungs had broad head cuts through them.
I’ll get to scoring tomorrow, I’m tired and hungry. Overall, great day to be a hunter, it did cost me an arrow.
These are the best trophy pics I can get at 9pm with a very tired child.

    Awesome @S.McArthur !

I knew when I logged on to this thread and saw I was 7 pages behind since Monday AM that someone put a buck in the dirt.

    That's awesome Steve!

I would have to ask questions to figure out how to measure the inside spread on him.

    Congratulations again!
