I was going to make a crack that you needed to have friends in the Army. When Monica started to blow, have them send a few 105's down range. Lol.

Good job! At least your way, you have meat.

Well, I have to say that maybe with the exception of my first bow kill, this is the most jazzed I've ever been about a doe kill.

I really didn't think I'd be able to pull it off and if it hadn't been for that spike buck on a collision course with her I probably wouldn't have.

I just wish that arrow had passed through and not broken. That's the same arrow I've killed all four deer with this season. I had to replace the blades after last nights kill. The rocky ground here did a real number on the blades.

That arrow sure won't kill another deer now.

A little late, but I've gotta say that pic had my wife and I laughing.

    Nice touch.

I have to give credit to that spike buck on this kill. If Monica and the doe she was with hadn't met him I'd have most likely not known she was there until it was too late. The does were all spazzing over the spike for some reason and trotted right over where I walked in. If they'd been casually browsing along I'm sure she'd have gone berserk when she hit my trail.

Actually she only field dressed 92 pounds. A good sized doe for these parts, but not what I was expecting.

Good luck to anyone going out tomorrow.

It's 12:45 here now and I'll be sleeping in and then we have two deer to process. I'm quite sure it'll be somewhere around mid-day before I feel like beginning that project.

How long does it roughly take you to process a deer from gambrel to freezer?

Are those slick trick standards or are they the mags? I just loaded my quiver back up with my viper tricks after my last two shots weren’t pass throughs I decided to go back to the basics. Shot them yesterday and Monday and they are flying perfect!!
