    New tactic, new spot.

My view just to my left. 76 yards away is my little house.

Three different evenings there have been deer feeding between where I am and my travel trailer on the left of the pic. A couple nights ago it was a solid 8 point.

It’s about 35 yards to where I’ve seen them. Where they’re coming from is a different thing altogether.

I hunted this tree two seasons ago. I know it was this tree because when I climbed I found my hook and my Summit cinch strap I’d lost.

Couple doe and fawns feeding in the clear cut to my east at about 70yrds. More than I thought I’d see tonight so that’s a plus.

Just had a doe fawn walk by at 12 yards. Where is her mother?

Wow. I unknowingly set up smack in the middle of Squirreltropolis.

I need to do some squirrel hunting on my place.

My hunt thus far - keep in mind I hunt next to private park land and a massive mountain bike park so this is mostly to be expected:

    1 combine
    1 grain cart
    1 atv
    1 walker
    1 jogger
    2 dogs
    6 mountain bikers
    3 deer

That is where we’re at so far and I still have an hour left! If I didn’t love deer hunting I’d have probaby headed home already.

I wish it was one of those properties... The genetics are too good in this area or I wouldn’t put up with all the madness.

Not sure why, but reading this post I immediately thought of the Stand by Me scene where Vern makes Teddy flinch and Teddy hits Vern and says two for flinching and Vern sulkingly says but you flinched first, paraphrased of course, been awhile since I have seen the movie.
