That's pretty damn cool! I'm a train nerd for my other hobby! I've always wanted to hunt somewhere that I could see trains and deer!

There goes my hunt...nieghbors very screamy grand kids are playing in thier bedding area. Yep screaming from front to back on all the trails..lol
Wind is blowing from them to me so anything behind me has winded me by now or will. Wow whooping now, all that's missing are pots and pans. Hey actually does my heart glad to hear kids actually out side and having fun. There's plenty of time and places to hunt.

Found out what they were running from.

My neighbor. He was scouting a property to the east of me when he jumped them.

I saw him walking back to his house. He was just barely cutting across my property. No big deal. I whistled and he walked over and we’ve been talking since my last post.

He said that he had jumped around 10 does so I don’t know if I’ll see anything this sit.

    Oh well.

I've lived by the railroad tracks all my life growing up. Train usually goes by 2 to 3 times a day. Good time to move around when it goes by. Makes a nice access route and you can hear the deer crossing them as well on the stones.

I figured I would join the PM shift today, out of nowhere hunt. I’m halfway up the tree and the 8 pointer I’m in here after walks right up on me. He knew something was up and walked away fast. No blowing or nothing. Maybe he’ll come back.

False alarm fawn chasing each other then headed to plot 20201004_171111.jpg 20201004_171104.jpg 20201004_171024.jpg

This sits right on a 200 yrd brush pile fence deer can't jump. But they walk along it to get to farmers field above me

Couple does in the other end of the field. As of right now they’re working the wrong way

Risky spot, there is a ridge to the upper field behind me, I’m maybe 8 yards above eye level off that field. If they do what they did last night, I’m in the chips, if they come behind me...well, we will see. I killed a 12pt in this tree walking that ridge 2 years ago. Damn near eye to eye level, he was about 10 steps from my scent.
They milled around right here last night and walked up a path about 15 yards to my strong side (that means my left for you peasant non saddle hunters).
Let’s hope they do what they did last night.

And yes, that is a scrape across the field, dry but it’s there.
