Ended up seeing 5. A doe, pair of fawns and a pair of yearlings. Had them all pass at 25 yards but didn't realize the old nanny I want to take out was the first one until it was too late. Coming out of the blind I did some little twist and miss step and tweaked my back. Slowest walk back to the truck ever, made tactical sloth look like a trot.

*Thought I posted that last night but guess not. Anyway, pinched a nerve last night so I'm sitting it out today. Go kill 'em y'all!

Hot tub, beer and a little something fresh from the garden.. about nine days ago that could stand to be just a touch more dry.

Mild winds huh? Ya know I have an old castration bander around here that I'd love to put to good use in a weather station...just saying waste not want not.

The 1000gram. Setters cam out as well as the fleece hood and gloves.
Our trees are beautiful this year.

I need to kill something. It’s been over three weeks and I think I’m experiencing withdrawal symptoms.

The sun is going over a big hole in the canopy of leaves right now.

Im gonna be medium-rare by the time it’s behind the trees again.

Two does just came flying by me at Mach 2.

No idea what they were running from but it wasn’t me.

20201004_162330.jpg All I can hear besides the wind and leaves are the acorns dropping behind me. Also the Dang crow ,I think it's the same one from this morning!... Lol
Apple tree across from me,old reliable, hasn't had much activity. It holds well into Nov and is usually trampled bare under it. Hardly any sign. Acorns are getting hit very hard. I suspect the chestnuts will be as well, still closed shut now though.
