    Found her !!!! She was in standing cirn field about 200 yards from stand. I literally have been walking the nastiest stuff on earth looking for her and she was complete opposite direction.wasn’t pretty but now I’m glad I didn’t give up.

    Zippo this morning. Back at camp cleaning seemed packing. Not sure if I'm going to hunt this evening or not but will be heading home tonight to spend some QT with the wife and then head back to Wisconsin next weekend.

    Just got word from my brother-in-law that he killed the big wide 8 that I saw opening night! Shot him last night and let him lay until this morning. The deer ended up bedding 3 times in an open bean field. He checked on him a few times throughout the night and every time he went out his head was still bobbing. After he checked at 1am he waited until light to go back out and he was in his last bed dead. I’ll post some pics when he sends them to me

    Wow what a dead morning and cam check on way out nothing....That didn't take long, not even a full first week and they have COMPLETELY changed their movement. I haven't seen them in fhe fields since camps filled up Weds. Had great sighting opening evening. Where I was this morning is lined by 5 properties with bow and gun hunters. I watched the line of lights coming in on the road 1/2mile away parallel to our back line. So my lull will be the next week until they settle down again. This will be a week of observation hunts with a hope of sightings. I have many sets to try and may head to camp.
    PS...holy hell! I was frozen when I came in. Getting heavy gear out...for afternoon even if we may hit 60. Apparently that 34#'s of fat I've lost was keeping me warm while hunting. Hey no complaints on loss! No sweating walking in or out, no sore knees.

    Had to leave the stand at 9:30..... my daughters the one hunting and she had to use the bathroom pretty bad, which I understand happens so we climbed down..... this guy was in the bean field Image1601823565.636174.jpg

    Got a picture. Although it’s a great deer and I wouldn’t have passed him either, but it’s not the big one I saw the other night. The 8 that I saw was a little wider, taller and more mass

    Raining here. Supposed to stop around 3 or 4 then I will head to stand. Raining all day then stopping and cool weather I am hoping for some good movement.
