I gathered as much, didn't take it as a question whether you should or not.

Actually thought it may be a test and you had previous years pics of him. Definitely a mature deer and uncertain as to his right side being funked up.

Looked to be about perfect, must have been a little forward and hit the shoulder since I didn’t get a pass through, she was all but broadside, maybe 1degree quartering to

Well y’all. Didn’t see anything tonight. Beautiful evening to be in the woods tho. There’s always next time.

Man what an evening. Hoping Adam and Happy have some luck in the morning. Those always suck.

So a sort of embarrassing story on the coyote. I heard him coming and guessed coyote by the pace and sound and was already drawn when he popped out almost directly under me. Like I said i had to take a second look to make sure it wasn't a grey fox, settled the pin between the shoulder blades and squeezed. The wound was ridiculous and his spine was severed so he never went anywhere. I expected him to expire in short order. Now I'm not a cruel man, and 10 minutes later this thing was still alive somehow and I had thought of a follow up 5 minutes prior. So...begrudgingly I shot again, risking yet another broadhead on a filthy, fawn killer. He died in less than a minute and as a parting gift he bit my arrow in half. No good deed...Thankfully the broad heads are fine, just need sharpening and i have more arrows. 20201003_210225.jpeg 20201003_183835.jpeg

Nothing to be embarrassed about Eric. I'm not a big coyote shooter. I've shot three in my life. One with a muzzleloader on a lease and two with a bow. One of those bow shot 'yotes bit my arrow in half too.

    Congratulations on the coyote!

C'mon. He didn't want to totally dnoodle a coyote. A deer might show up.
