Well that didn’t work out. Group of 8 working at me lead doe at 23 yards. Sniffing the dirt. I draw arrow squeaks and the bounded outbid range and entire group walked off b

I am up. Typical first sit of the season cluster. Left the house 15
Minutes late, got off track walking in. The power company cut a bunch of brush and I just trusted that would make it an easier walk, ended up about 100 yards off course and bumped into a lone deer. We had a stare down for a few minutes before he walked off. At least he didn’t seem too spooked. Going to sit until about 9:30 then get down and scout if I don’t kill.

At first light i’m like... Oh man that sounds kinda heavy. Surely not. Yeah that’s heavy.

Then I can hear his antlers bump a limb.

Then he gets to 10 yrds a rakes the ground and tickles antlers.

    That’s what I’m here for... F’ing party!

Cold wet deer running all over and I'm in the house. Why Dr...who gun hunts scheduled the flu clinic in the first Sat. of the bow opener right at legal light time. I had to park on the road and walk to the office so many people people showed up..mostly over 65 . So cooked tomaoes to paste last night will can them now and pick rest of garden for an afternoon hunting
Note..hunter next door gone, hunters on property along our back line across street gone....I'm hoping young 8's are gone.....

No hating here. I’m 38 and might have to switch in a few years if my elbows keep giving me fits

Hey @cantexian ! I am still here in Arkansas. This is my fourth year and still looking for my first Arkansas deer. Seems like I just can’t break through. This year I am trying a new spot of private that I got permission to hunt. Hopefully I can get one. How you been? Still hunting the WMAs?
