My wife and I were woken up at 3am in Yellowstone this summer to that sound. It was the third time I have heard it person. An awesome sound to be sure.

I camped near twin lakes Co a few weeks ago... 25 coyotes are definitely more annoying when they sound off...

Got home about an hour ago.

I just walked over to put my climber on a tree and checked the cameras.

566 pics on two cameras (on the same tree) in three days.

Actually I’m still standing here waiting for the pics to delete off the SD card.

Okay all set up a few feet into what I call the swamp. Awesome conditions, heavy overcast light breeze, on and off sprinkles. Lots of scrapes opens up since Tuesday. Feels like a killing kind of hunt!

OND: my wife and I are going to my parents tomorrow afternoon and evening and bringing them dinner.

i smoke my gear and clothes with a Bee smoker from Amazon. I use hardwood wood hips. I’m the only one who uses my Jeep so I smoke everything in there. The native Americans used smoke as a scent cover. It’s important to use hard wood chips..oak maple etc because the Uber thick smoke has carbon that sticks to clothing and kills bacteria. I’m not saying it’s fool proof, but I believe in it!

Nope. Not wind pics. Does, little bucks and raccoons.

No shooters walked through that spot in the last three days.

All setup, I’d better have a good hunt because it was pain getting here. Waited forever for fedex to deliver package so I could leave work. Had to piss for 45min, gambled on a fart, sharted my britches, went to check the pond, bumped a deer, couldn’t tell what it was but it was alone.
Oh well, I’m in the woods ready to burn daylight.

Back in a tree. I moved over to where most the deer were filtering this morning. They should come back out this same way.....I think. There are acorns everywhere in here. I’ve got corn due west of me and all else is beans which they aren’t touching right now. Hope I can cut them off here. My concern is that the buck I saw this morning may come through here but will do so later than the rest. Meaning I have to not get busted by anything. I’m lower to the ground and don’t have as much cover. So kill first nice doe or wait for that buck hmmm.

Ended up not feeling the river bottom. Only place I saw buck sign had a pop up 20 yard away.

I'm in a spot real close to one I saw 2-3 MI public land shooters last year but couldn't sell the deal. Already exhausted. But there is good sign here

Back out in a tree. Little cooler today. Trying new spot scouted in January .where I’ve seen the albino doe travel. Scouted a long way in and have found very little buck sign compared to first spot.

So I'm back here at home after a very frustrating and fruitless trip to Kentucky. Lots of pics on camera of does moving in daylight but...

I might just go out and sit my tree but I will not shoot a doe if one shows up.

***Do you think they saw that? I'll bet they did.***

I feel like I'm in the movie The Birds! Friggin hundreds of starlings flew into the trees over the pond... They are noisy birds!

As long as they aren’t too close together. I think you nailed it though. That’s the plan
