Saw a couple doe at first light, nothing since.
Debating on whether to stay for a while. Will there be midday movement with the full moon?
Is that total horsecrap and I won’t see a thing?
Some lunch and a 2 hour nap in the truck sounds very appealing.
    Hmmmmm

Absolutely nada this AM. Didn't even hear anything.
Going to hit a river bottom here in a few. They clear cut the ridge above it this summer but left the bottoms. It looks good I will probably ground pound this afternoon otherwise probably skylit.

Double checking the WMA regs for one of my favorite public land spots. I just now realized that the previously archery only WMA has added a permit muzzleloader hunt the weekend of Oct 17-21  and a youth only rifle permit hunt the weekend of Nov 7-8. :throw: The muzzleloader hunt is not a big deal. But I am kicking myself for not seeing the youth hunt back during the application period. I could have taken my oldest in there and gotten him his first deer for sure. The spot lights up around Oct 25. I may have to try to hunt in there earlier than planned now. I was trying to leave this spot untouched for a couple more weeks. I was planning on hunting somewhere else tomorrow. I may just have to dive in there tomorrow and hope for the best. It is not looking like I will hunt next weekend. The forecast is calling for temps back up in the 80s.

Sounds like a slow morning for everyone. Had 2 does appear then vanish real fast and that was it for me. Hope tonight will be a little better. Got to say I like the first lite furnace long johns I wore today for the first time. Didn’t feel bulky with all the layers and stayed warm.

I think you in for a great afternoon with the moon being underfoot, the temps, and the rain ending!

My son and I made it out for our first sit this morning. We didn’t see anything but our first venture out was about as smooth as the debate earlier this week! Drove home for fried eggs, Canadian bacon and toast. Few hour nap and going to give it another go this evening! Good luck all!

First sit this year. Doing a mid day sit over a pond out of GB. Hoping for midday movement! Let's do this!
