I was able to run out for the last two hours today and was immediately seeing deer.
I was on the ground, I had a big doe w/fawn walk by. Watching them, out of nowhere, a bruiser 10 pt popped out of a clump of trees and dogged the doe (or just telling her to scram, hard to tell in the tall grass) for a few seconds before disappearing.
    I nearly crapped myself !
Saw another 3 doe, that skirted me. Then a lone doe heading my way, came way too close. I needed a couple more steps and I would have had an 8 yard shot. She caught a whiff and blew outta there.
Amazing hunt for first sit , 2 hours on opening day!

You up north or down south? Think I remember you saying you lost one of your hunting sites, but can't remember fully.

Way south, Jackson county. This property usually doesn’t hold a lot of deer, but there’s always the chance of a giant passing through.
I set up 2 cams a month ago, haven’t retrieved the cards yet. Looking forward to see who shows up

Only one clucking is me, so you must be saying I'm a hen. (maybe soccer Dan). You are barking up the wrong tree

So the team with the bigger score gets the other to what????? Has to say the team 5 or 13 is better at the end of every post they make until the end of the next contest? Or wave the other teams Avatar for a year???? It's not like we would meet for you to buy me a case of jack Daniels

Is that the property with the barn or shed you can sit in? Think it is the one with the big six and/or a non typical you encountered a season or two/three ago...

Was IL buck in the banter thread

As for the wager, I'm up for all. Winner creates the losers avatar, sig or tag line as you suggested, but I'll admit would need a bit of help with how to do that  Also just want to state, this would be a me vs you wager, I wouldn't subject my teammates to a bet of my doing.

Lastly, just know this is all in jest and by no means am I being an ass with it. I'm here for good times and big kills, regardless of who gets them.

I'll take the post in our team thread as an acceptance...

We should probably move this to the contest banter thread

You had a better picture of him as well, full frontal they would call it in horn porn. several of his G's had little crab claws.

Valid point but in '09 my old man did take a 187" within 100 yards of where I'm typing this. They are here.

Not a doubt in my mind, you don't have that many deer without a few mixed in.

Just when I hear about Michigan it's always number of hunters and lucky to shoot a 2 year old

Mitch Rompola put MI on the map, going to take a while to drop them off again...

Barely any signal out here this year.
I had same weather as MiHoyt, squall after squall. Right at 3:40 I had 3-4 deer go screaming past me just inside the edge of the swamp- wasn't me they were 60 yards and upwind. Nothing after that. Weather has finally broke, high pressure cold front. What to do, what to do... no idea where to sit in the AM.
