I've heard porky is delicious, but one question has always vexed me. How does does one skin a porcupine? (I assume, carefully)

A big fox came cruising right to the base of my tree earlier. I guess he didn’t like the smell of my urine because he took off like I shot at him.

Then a group of six raccoons walked in and they all climbed a hackberry tree 7 yards away and fed in the branches for about 10 minutes.

They all just climbed down and headed back the way they came from.

Nature is putting on a show today. It’s just missing deer in daylight.

Beginning of every year I know I'm gonna have to feel like this to even have a chance to kill this...the pain is real

Thought about it but it was too far by the time I finished thinking.

A lady friend has tag and very little time to hunt.
She gets off work at 230 today. Said she would have no problem shooting the bear in the tree. She loves the meat.
    Not my thing but....
I'm 1.89 miles away and just put out my spotting scope. He's still there.
Kinda hope he's gone by the time she gets here.

I sure thought it would be a blood bath in here this morning. Damn a full moon!
Good luck everyone. Oct 10th before I can climb a tree for a whitetail, and will be Nov. 10th before rut activity starts heating up here in Idaho. I'll mix holding a bow and a sidelock loaded with patched round ball.

Down and back at the truck. I'm gonna go into town and get something to eat, look at the radar and make a decision about this afternoon. It's supposed to rain. A very uneventful opening morning here.

I’m still in my tree. The moon underfoot movement is supposed to be 12:00 to 2:00.

I’m not sure I’ll last that long but I’m gonna try.

When I get down I’m going to move. I’m going to see if I can find a tree that lets me cover the field edge and the grass between the patches of woods.

Another coyote went by at 30 yards.

Maybe it’ll scare some does up.
