    Been raining hard most of past 48 hours until yesterday evening then cleared up so moon was out all night. Gonna give till 0930 then cruze a little deeper for sign before I head in for a 11a lunch and be back out before 1p. Bucks will be back on their feet between 2 and 4. Time To Hunt tells me so.

    I was still hunting through this spot a few years ago, and 5 yards in front of me a porcupine walked out in front of me. Looked at me and carried on. I’m wondering if it’s the same one.

    First morning sit of bow season. It was more like first day of spring turkey. Well over 40 mins of a jake calling and gobbling. Just before I left more Jake's gobbling...looks like they have found their voices.
    No deer near me but watched them cross my driveway down wind of where I was across the street
    No forgetting anything, hit spot on time, wonderful time watching the world wake up, lots of critters, and some weird noises.
    What I learned... Losing weight makes everything really roomy and me really cold easily seriously really cold!. Crazy adjustments needed on my harness and having to wear a belt to keep my pants up....
    Doing short hunts morning evening to observe and conditon myself to the sits. Non traditional rut areas right now.

    The biggest issue for me after losing weight is staying warm. It seems I'm freezing all the time now. It's such a huge change for me. Before I could sit out in shirt sleeves to about 40 and not get cold. Heated clothing can be your friend. It is a game changer

    Dang kids and " I Want a Bigger One".
    Had a 300#er in our lap. He decides to hold out for a bigger one:rant:
    A 13 year old kid should not be that way?

    Was cruising down a trail and this 250ish dang near ran into the side of mytruck.
    He's up a big cottonwood now huffy n puffn at me.

    Really everyone comments on how warm my hands always are... My fingers and toes are still crazy cold and Ive been in over a half hour, holding a hot cup of coffee.
    That said I'll take the cold over the weight...lol
