Good luck killers! I am unfortunately at work but will be out this evening weather permitting!

Now, let there be lots of blood spilled so I can make it to 2:30 without losing my s*** on somebody.

So that was awesome........not! I decided to take a different route to my stand to avoid crossing some trails. You should never do that in the dark if you haven't been there before. I got soaked and it was so thick I don't know how I made it. But I did and now I'm all set up waiting on daylight and hoping to dry out before I get cold. I'm hoping my little inconvenience yields some reward. Carry on!

Good luck this AM. See you all this afternoon, dropping kids at school and then a six hour drive south. Be in a tree by 2:30. Looking for my target 8 or a big doe, if its early enough.

    Son of a......

I’m getting pretty sick of this crap.

About 5 minutes before legal light (you know, when you can kinda see but you can’t “see”) ok’ big boy came from the direction he went yesterday morning but instead of coming to me he cut left, walked about 20 yards from the tree I was in yesterday and headed to the field edge.

He got to the field edge and hit my scent/Ozonics stream. He stood there for about 5 minutes sniffing and looking around. By this time it was legal light but there was way too much trash between us.

I was hoping he would double back on the same trail which would give me a 30 yard shot but nope. He did turn back but he hugged the pond edge and walked right under my tree from yesterday.

If I’d been in that tree it wouldn’t have mattered. It wasn’t shooting light when he walked by the first time and I don’t think there would have been much of a shot anyway. Plus, he never would have hit the scent stream.

I’m getting my butt kicked in these chess games with bucks so far this season.

Hey, at least he's close by. Even a pawn can make Checkmate!

Hey man, you're definitely in the game. He'll make a mistake sooner or later and then you'll get him.

    Yep.

I know he left all on edge, but at least he didn’t smell “me”.

There’s a two day muzzleloader season coming up here on the 17th and 18th and that weekend happens to be a new moon.

I should find out if I can legally hunt here with a bow and a gun in the stand at the same time.

I’d have killed that joker with a muzzleloader this morning as he was walking away.
