    Was he bedded when you bumped him? Did he bed back down?

    Able to learn anything more on the shot placement when you seen him?

    About an hour ago I watched two does feed down towards me very slowly.

    They got in some thick cover about 45 yards away and I lost them. I figured they had turned and walked away with cover between us.

    Nope. They’re bedded down there.

    I really should start packing a handful of rocks with me.

    OK, guys...don't laugh! Obviously I'm urban hunting. He's following the highway fence headed north. No guts on the arrow, just bright red blood. Muzzy 3 blade. No beds until I bumped him.

    I couldn't see much of anything when I bumped him. He was behind thick honeysuckle the whole time. Got up gingerly and walked hunched before stopping again after 20 yards.

    He let me get within 15 yards, but I hadn't seen him yet.

    He's went a good ways already, might have been a muscle hit and them seeds in the blood were a fluke. If he was liver shot, he'd have bedded multiple times fairly close together.

    Could try to get ahead of him and have someone follow his blood trail in hopes of pushing him to you for a follow up shot.

    Sounds like a buck I killed several years ago. You will get him, give him time and another arrow when you get on him again if he's not already dead.
