How I felt this evening putting my Leupold Katmai binoculars around my neck again after almost three straight weeks of hunting:

Nothing else for me tonight. It was nice running into some fresh buck sign. It's getting me pumped to start chasing bucks!

Had 4 separate does come to the base of my tree and travel directly down wind. They knew something was there but never busted me. I couldn’t do anything for the last hour. I worked in a chicken barn and checked cams at noon in the sun... Stinkier and sweatier than ever. Had my 6 year old Scent Lok pants and a thin Walmart long sleeve. Not exactly sure how They didn’t blow out of there.

    Think I saw roughly 15.

Until you switched to saddle hunting, There are some who may have said that is being too generous. Not me, but some.

    No, psychological warfare...
I’m making the deer suffer today without their comedic relief!

Good Luck to everyone out today and this weekend. I'll be watching from the couch or the barn if I can get the family to haul me down there.

    That
That will look nice. Mine wants some kind of walk way but not sure exactly what. Will probably take another 20 years to decide

I'm going to sit for a couple hours this morning then check some cameras. Good luck to anyone hunting today.

One more work day, then my last two days in the elk woods...with a bow anyway. There's always late muzzleloader.
