Looking like a nice cool week for the Oct. Openers for portions of the Mw/OH TN valleys and east coast.

    Same here now.

15 minutes after I got set up a doe started blowing upwind and nowhere near where I’d been. She blew for a good three minutes.

It had to be that same stupid doe from across the road.

Good luck guys! Hopefully you get some late morning movement this morning.

There may be a chance I get out this afternoon, I will see.

I prefer my movements early so they're out of the way...

Are you serious? I've been reading every post trying to get caught up the past week. I am trying to figure out if I should be jealous of how early some of your seasons start. I think I like the October 1st opener here in Michigan. I've been bass fishing almost every day the past 2 weeks. The temps are warm this week, upper 70s+. NEXT week though....nice and cool here. On Thurs the high is 54.

Congratulations to those who have killed and recovered. Keep your head up LC - you'll kill soon....I keed, I keed...congrats. Big shout out to 704 (Bill?) on the elk kill. Keep shooting Jonders.

You guys know I love blood trail pics - we need to improve our blood pics.

    Waiting on Pastor's prayer.

Be safe my friends. Aim SMALL miss SMALL.

Virtual learning from 20 feet high in a saddle. Sounds like a video of that could lead to being sponsored!

    Okay, I’m stumped.

Between here and Kentucky this is the 4th morning sit in a row with zero deer movement after daylight.

By all indicators they should be moving well, but they certainly aren’t.

    Not enough? 20200921_093148.jpeg

As I think I mentioned, we were following tracks first 50-70 yds before this bed, which we bumped her from. 0 blood. In hind sight, we think the arrow was still in her, last I saw it buried to the vanes (~29", I shoot about 29" arrow ± the magnus stinger ~3"). Best we can figure, when she bedded, it pushed through or she pulled it out at this bed. From here we had blood, though not a lot... Mostly smears on trees, but could tell she was bleeding on both sides. I think the sharpness and cutting edge length were factors here, as the arrow exit around was rear quarter.

I didn't get more trail pics as I was on the rollar coaster after the shot doubt from not finding initial blood. Best I can offer to satisfy your blood lust are these other pics...

    She's chilling now...

KY hello! Just under 10 more hrs drive. 20200921_122212.jpeg 20200921_131352.jpeg 20200921_142044.jpeg
