Heading out now, no not to hunt but I couldn't find a bow hanger of mine. Then I remembered I left it in a tree. Last season, Going to go get it. Unfortunately it's not archery season yet. So no bow. Just my climber ( summit)

Get a thirdhand archery bow holder!!! Eliminates the bow rope, and need to install a hanger because you climb with your bow int it!! I actually have one.. If you cover the $7 for shipping you can have it!!

I just bought those new Zinger fletch. Should be here tomorrow.

Going to strip my arrows and bare tune this weekend...4 days before season. Seems rational.

Thx for the offer Joe, but im an old dog and new trix don't go well for me. Old habits die hard. That's a heck of a deal though.

Those are the best thing for bow hunting since the bow. I really appreciate you turning me onto those Joe.

Being able to climb with my bow on my stand is a huge plus, but an even bigger one is having the bow sitting right beside me and it won't move no matter how hard the wind is blowing.

The Hazmore Silent Seats that you told me about are another thing of beauty for a climber.

I’ll have to chk out the third hand archery hanger. Wanting to be more mobile and use my climber more this year. Do you find it hard to climb with a bow hanging off your stand?

I love Thirdhand products! The Owner/business Jim Litmer is right in Kentucky. Very respectable and professional poster over on AT.

    It’s not difficult at all.

Once the holder is set properly, the bow is held by placing the bottom limb(s) in the rubber coated prongs. Gravity holds the bow rock solid.

To climb up or down, I put the top limb in the prongs, quiver out/sight up. I adjust the bow in the holder so that the grip is at the same height as my top rail. That lets me grip the climber with my right little finger wrapped around the grip. I don’t think it could bounce out, but I do that just to keep it from bouncing at all for peace of mind.

I can climb up and down just as fast with my bow on my climber as I can without it.

Another big plus is that if you’re climbing up or down and a deer walks in your bow is right there and not on the ground.

If I remember I’ll take a couple of pics when I climb up this afternoon.

Good luck to everyone out today! its getting waaarm here with a cold front coming early next week. Bad winds, again, too. Question, do I make a trip to the woods for a sit or wait for the cold front and better winds? I think I know the answer, but I need someone to tell me to stay out.

Before and after the cold front? definitely planning on it. Im debating if I head out tonight with hot and wrong wind conditions? I just feel I am missing something if I am not out ahah like an anxiety takes over.

If you go now in the wrong wind, you will be missing out of the good stuff that can happen there in the RIGHT wind! I know it sucks!

I've seen 20 pronghorn and a forky mule buck this morning... But I'm in KS, MO this afternoon/evening and hopefully IL and KY before eod, so I may add some whitetails to the list...

Hey, when you get done with that, head north and you can build my free standing wall around my fire pit.

When you are done, the beer is in the fridge. I'll be out hunting.
