4 mile pack hike done. Just getting light and Remnants of Laura blow through this morning.

Will probably shoot the bow the afternoon.

    2 weeks.

I'm hoping my big white oaks drop this year. I hunt these two giant white oaks that I believe are probably around 150 years old. They are only 20yrds apart, so they obviously are related. These trees only seem to drop acorns every third year though. This should be the year!

I get excited, because every year these trees drop, I kill a doe under them. :tu:

Watched that recently and laughed at how much the guy on the right of the frame in that looks just like Justin Zarr.

What whitetail shows you guys watch online other than BHOD, THP, and the hunting beast? Or podcasts. Would like informative videos, not just people killing the biggest deer you’ve ever seen every episode. I like reality shows, not the stupid junk where a 180” walks into a field every night.

I like Meat Eater, but it isn't exactly white tail centric. Good production and lots of different kinds of hunts. Red Arrow has some older hunts on YouTube and is pretty entertaining.

You might like growing deer tv or whitetail habitat solutions. They are both more geared towards habitat and strategy other than the actual dropping of the giants.

Rinella is one of the best ambassadors for the sport. His books are also really, really well written and entertaining.

Trying it again, not sure what will happen, had some pictures around noon, it’s hot/humid and the rain will be here around 3. I’ll probably call it around 2:30/3.

I dunno about your area, but up here when it's hot and a steady rain moves in the deer just about fill up the soybean field corners like where you are sitting.

I've just started listening to podcasts this past week while on my walks. I got sick of music. I can't offer anything really new to listen too. I listen to a few select episodes of the one mentioned above. I typically don't watch hunting shows or listen to podcasts because I can't relate anything of what they are saying to what I experience. So my post is useless...But I'm looking for stuff I can relate to,,, big woods, low deer population,,no farms, no foodplots, no huge swamps or marshes....etc.

Wired to hunt has some good “niche” podcast. Big woods, river bottom, swamps and the tactics different people use for different situations. I usually am able to pull something out of each one to apply to my hunting situations. Just know, if I ever meet Mark Kenyon, I’m going to say “aaarright” and whop him in the back of the head. Lol. Every ad break starts off with “aaarright” jokes aside, there’s good info and he asks really good questions

I've said it before I'm bilingual, I speak sweet tea and yankee. I dream in both too.
